Amy Shane
Amy brings over 15 years of litigation experience to her role and is a zealous advocate for her clients. Amy previously defended nursing homes, hospitals, physicians, and radiology facilities against claims of negligence and medical malpractice, and uses that knowledge and experience as an advantage for her clients.
Amy began her legal career clerking for the Honorable Theodore Winard in the Civil Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. She went on to represent claims before the September 11th Victims Compensation Fund. In addition, Amy has worked in public legal services in New York, New Jersey and London, advocating for the most vulnerable members of society in cases involving housing, asylum, discrimination, criminal expungements, and human trafficking. She previously managed the Newark Reentry Legal Services program and advocated for change with the New Jersey State legislature, and lobbied for public legal funding before Members of Parliament in the United Kingdom. Amy is admitted to the bars of New York, New Jersey, the federal District of New Jersey, and is on the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales.
Amy attended Emory University School of Law where she competed on the Moot Court team and was awarded the Best Brief Award. She was also named to the Order of Barristers. Amy obtained a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
